IBM was first known as the world's first recording company in 1889.The name of the company was incorporated in New york on June 16, 1911 as the Computing- Tabulating- Recording- Company or C-T-Rn. The International Time Recording Company (ITR) was the first made in 1900 and was later changed to IBM after outgrowing its company so them they made a modern company in Endicott, New York, Which would later become IBM plant number 1.On February 14,1924, C-T-R's name was formally changed to International Business Machines Corporation. The founders of IBM are Ranlett Flint and Thomas Watson. |
